Over the years, I’ve discovered some hacks/tips to stay productive especially during ‘siesta hours’.

After lunch, energy levels drop, making afternoon productivity difficult for many. We can increase afternoon productivity with the appropriate tactics and attitude.

How can we remain productive at work in the afternoon:

Prioritise tasks. Start the day by determining your afternoon MITs (most important tasks). Start with them to maximize your peak production hours.

Create a dedicated workspace: Keep it clean, tidy, and distraction-free. Clutter-free and pleasant environments help you concentrate.

Manage Time. Use the Pomodoro Technique to work in 25-minute bursts with 5-minute breaks. This helps you focus and energize.

Get natural light to increase your mood and energy. Take advantage of natural light by working outside or near a window.

Meditate. In the afternoon, practice mindfulness or brief relaxation activities to clear your thoughts and minimize tension. A little meditation or deep-breathing practice helps refresh your attention.
