I’m back!

I thought it was only a month but what, it took me around three months to get back into writing! So many things have happened and I totally lost track of time!

I must say 2019 is a year of many firsts! First time to really take a break from work to focus on film school, first time to write for digital programs and online content for GMA, first time to be a content producer both for on-air and online for Glow Up and first time to write for Starstruck, which is now on its 7th season! First time to be included as well in a startup ad agency founded by long-time freelancers!

Many times I have been extremely exhausted but I do not like to develop a habit of complaning because I really just want to focus on being thankful that opportunities have been coming my way when I had least expected them to be. We have to stay thankful to be grounded. Otherwise, we’ll never be contented.

Anyway, I’m also announcing a big news soon as I am about to begin another worthy cause! But for now, let’s enjoy the peaceful and breezy Sunday that is today! 🙂

Heart Evangelista on love and career, plus fashion secrets!

We got to work with Heart Evangelista last March for GMA Network. We went to her office in Quezon City to shoot an ‘office tour’ plus several other quirky things to let people know more about this lovely and multitalented woman. The result was the online content that were launched via the social media platforms of GMA Network like Facebook and Instagram, and we officially named the project called “GMA Artistakeover”.

What you will watch below contain a side of Heart that you rarely get to see in soap operas that she stars in or her official Instagram page. Her showbiz BFF, Lovi Poe, will also make an appearance here to send her warmest regards to GMA’s Artist of the Month for March.

Meanwhile, for this April, we will give a warm Kapuso welcome to Derek Ramsay who is the Artist of the Month!

Help these kids thru the Education Under the Bridge Program

In 2018, we made a short documentary about Fe Matullano-Lustańas, a teacher who is the brainchild of the Education Under the Bridge project. Teacher Fe has an advocacy and that is to educate the children/youth who live under the bridge in Barangay La Huerta in Parañaque City. Our short docu about her was recognized by the Change Short Film Festival as 2nd Best Short Film. As a way of giving back, we held an outreach program this February to help the community. #JuanChoyce was on the show! They have been very vocal about their budding romance ever since they were paired onscreen as hosts on GMA’s morning show, Unang Hirit. So when Juancho Trivino visited Kapuso Artistambayan, where Joyce is one of the hosts, their fans definitely anticipated for something sweet to unfold!

With their inside jokes, Juancho’s sweet ‘banats’ and Joyce smart comebacks, this was definitely one of the funniest and revealing episodes I had witnessed. Thankfully, I was able to capture some sweetness overload behind the scenes after we wrapped up! Sharing these to all of you!

Whew, finally had the time to dump the first batch of photos i took during our pilot episode of the new Kapuso Artistambayan for 2019!

Janine Gutierrez and Laura Lehmann were on the show to promote their movie, Elise. I got to see it weeks later at UP Cine Adarna and I was just laughing out loud. It’s the kind of movie that takes your worries away, a great escapist treat. 🙂

As you may have noticed, Joyce Pring is not in the photos. On the pilot episode of the new and improved KAT, Joyce wasn’t able to join us because of a prior commitment. So Patricia Tumulak, also known as the HBD/ Happy Birthday girl of Eat Bulaga joined Andre Lagdameo instead to co-host. 🙂
